Commemorate Events

        An interesting area of covers to collect and admire are those which remember events that took place at the United Nations in New York. These can be dates on which famous people visited the UN Headquarters, delivered a speech to the General Assembly, or a date when a specific conference was held in New York or other UN locations. 

       Shown here is a very attractive cover that contains a cachet which was produced by Goodwin for the Visit of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles to the United Nations on October 21, 1957. 

    The cachet is attractive and contains much more detail than many used on event covers. These covers will allow you to develop a complete "cover calendar" of events for any period of time within the activities of the United Nations.
