Collecting United Nations Tab Issues

An interesting way to build an attractive collection of U.N. Singles stamps is to collect issues with the Tab attached. 

U.N. stamps are issued in sheets which have a marginal inscription block as shown here. 

The margin issue shown here is from the upper left of the sheet. You can collect tab singles from all positions on a sheet or you can be content with just collecting one of them. 

The tab shows the U.N. Symbol and the year of issue. This makes a nice way to remember the date of issue. You can find tab issues sometimes listed on eBay and other selling sites. Of course you can remove the tab single from a Inscription block if you desire. It doesn't seem that collecting the Inscription Block of either 4 or 6 stamps is a popular as collecting U.S. Plate Blocks.
